DCE takes "Thank You Tour" to Adumakasekese Area Council

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afigya Kwabre South, Madam Pearl Patricia Ankrah, has embarked on a heartfelt thank you tour across the district, visiting traditional authorities in Aboabogya and Adwumakasekese.

This initiative aims to express her gratitude for the support and prayers of local leaders during her nomination and confirmation as the district's leader.

The first stop was the traditional palace of Aboabogya, where the DCE met with Nana Wiafe Akenten Amoah II and his elders.

Mr. Ebenezer Quarm, the District Development Planning Officer, emphasized the importance of the DCE's courtesy call to engage with traditional authorities for effective governance.

He outlined the medium-term development agenda for the community and the district, highlighting the need for cooperation from the Chiefs to tackle various challenges.

Nana Wiafe Akenten Amoah II raised concerns about the protection of lands and criticized the reckless placement of kiosks and containers in the community. He stressed the need for stringent measures to safeguard the interests of future generations.

In her address, Madam. Ankrah acknowledged the invaluable support and prayers from the traditional leaders, emphasizing her commitment to reciprocate this gesture through her visit.

She called for continued prayers for a successful administration over the next four years and assured the leaders of her dedication to addressing pressing community challenges.

A similar interaction took place with Nana Asenso Kuffuor Ababio, the Chief of Adwumakasekese, where the DCE reiterated her commitment to improving infrastructure for accelerated community development and sought their prayers for successful delivery.

A Community Needs Assessment meeting was held at the Adwumakasekese Methodist Church auditorium, featuring an open forum for questions and answers.

Prioritized projects discussed included:

Construction of a 6-unit classroom block

Refuse evacuation

Provision of skip containers

Reshaping of town roads

Extension of electricity

The traditional leaders expressed their appreciation for the DCE's visit and pledged their continued support and prayers for her vision of a more prosperous and united district.
