Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, particularly from the Mamponteng and Bremang stations, were also in attendance.
During the durbar, staff were given the opportunity to express their concerns and make suggestions through a suggestion box, all of which were acknowledged by management.
Addressing the gathering, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Patricia Pearl Ankrah, underscored the importance of professionalism and strong work ethics among staff.
She expressed concern over unacceptable work practices such as lateness, absenteeism, and lack of punctuality. The DCE also cautioned against the unauthorized use of the Assembly’s letterhead, describing the practice as inappropriate and unacceptable. She urged staff to remain committed and contribute positively toward improving service delivery at the Assembly.
The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Seidu Kamara, commended staff for their cooperation and cordial working relationships, noting that teamwork fosters a productive work environment. He also praised the DCE for her strong leadership and positive engagement with staff.
Mr. Kamara further emphasized the need for punctuality and discipline, cautioning against the unauthorized use of the Assembly’s letterhead and impersonation of authority.
He also stressed the importance of respecting the Assembly’s organizational structure, advising staff to channel concerns through the appropriate hierarchy from Heads of Department to the Coordinating Director, before reaching the District Chief Executive.
The Ghana National Fire Service team also provided staff with essential fire safety education, highlighting preventive measures against fire outbreaks and advising on immediate actions to take in the event of a fire before the arrival of emergency responders.
