This event served as a vital platform for community members to articulate their most pressing developmental needs and contribute ideas for prioritizing projects aimed at improving living conditions.

The District Chief Executive, Madam Patricia Pearl Ankrah, urged the youth to leverage the government’s Apprenticeship Programme for employment and self-reliance, emphasizing the value of vocational and technical training for sustainable livelihoods.

She assured residents near the quarry area of their inclusion in the district’s development agenda and pledged safety measures.

Infrastructure development was a key focus, with promises to construct a bridge for hard-to-reach communities and reshape inner roads, highlighting their importance for economic activities and access to social services.

The DCE announced a successful negotiation with Metro Mass Transit (MMT) for three buses serving routes from Kejetia to Afrancho, Buoho, and Kodie, with an affordable fare of GH 5.00 to alleviate transportation challenges.

She encouraged unity and collective effort, appealing for contributions towards fuel for road reshaping machines.

District Coordinating Director, Madam Yvonne Naboo, educated the community on the critical role of tax payment in funding development projects like street lighting and road maintenance.

She advised on forming groups to propose developmental priorities, noting that local revenue performance is key to attracting external support.

Development Planning Officer, Mr. Ebenezer Quarm, encouraged the regular submission of developmental issues and community-initiated projects.

He noted that area councils were grouped to prioritize needs such as reshaping inner roads, installing streetlights, constructing mechanized boreholes, fencing Krobo School, building a market, and establishing a police post.

Participants expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to voice their needs and pledged their cooperation with the Assembly to realize the prioritized projects, fostering a sense of shared commitment to the district's progress.
