Kwahu West Assembly holds final Town Hall meeting

The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly has held its final Town Hall Meeting for the year 2020, an event aimed at highlighting on some developmental projects by the Akufo-Addo-led administration.

The well-organized event, which came off on Tuesday, 21st December 2020, took place at the Old Lorry Park, Nkawkaw.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Yaw Owusu Addo, in his address, gave a detailed account of projects he inherited since the assumption of office and what contribution he has made to ensure their completion.


He also expended time to render an account of his stewardship in terms of infrastructural projects and human-centred programs that have been rolled out to better the lives of the people.


Among the major projects mentioned in his address was the completion of CHPS compound at Monsie, Water connection from Main service line to Overhead storage tank at Nkawkaw central market, construction of new lorry park phase 1 at Central Market Annex - Nkawkaw, Construction of 1No. Story Teachers Quarters at Aprahwiem among others.

The MCE challenged the chiefs and people to support the Assembly in whatever way possible, especially in the prompt paying of property rates and such other levies.


During the open forum, citizens commended the MCE for a good work done While asking the Assembly to focus more on the far-off villages in terms of allocation of more developmental projects, most enquiries centered on matters of education and infrastructural projects.

Mr. Boansi Darkwa the chairman for the event and also the Presiding Member, commended government for the re-institution of town hall meetings.

He urged the MCE and the Assembly to keep up with the impressive rollout of projects across the expanse of the Municipality.
