Kwahu West Assembly holds fourth inter-service and sectorial collaboration meeting.

The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly held its fourth meeting on Inter-Service and Sectorial Collaboration and Co-operation System with a call on stakeholders to work together to improve upon service delivery at national, regional, metropolitan, municipal, and district levels.

According to the Municipal Chief Executive, Lawyer Yaw Owusu Addo, the purpose of the inter-service collaboration is to facilitate efforts to achieve common objectives,


Provide a common understanding and ensure judicious use of resources for efficient and effective service delivery, and development of an effective local platform to work.

He added that to actualize this constitutional provision, it was necessary to realign governance structures from a purely centralized perspective to a decentralized system.

Presentation on Interservice and Intersectorial collaboration and Cooperation System (ISCCS) 2021 report and 2022 annual Action plan by departments and Agencies in Kwahu West Municipality.


This, therefore, calls for redistribution of power, authority, human and financial resources in the executions of government agenda, he said.

"We realize that in the discharge of these mandates, the DAs, MDAs, state corporations, statutory bodies come face to face with the issues of overlaps, duplications of functions, conflicts in functions, planning, and implementation of programs, and projects."

He emphasized that stakeholders can achieve collaboration and cooperation through networking communication, coordination of functions and resources.
