Alhaji Collins Dauda, Member of Parliament for the area appealed to Ghanaians, especially assembly members, to support the government’s Better Ghana Agenda and urged members of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to live above personal interests and unite to confirm the President’s nominees.

Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso, commended the assembly members for their overwhelming confidence in Mr Yao.

He said this was an indication of their preparedness to develop the area and deal with the challenges of poverty, deplorable roads, water and sanitation.

Mr Aidoo said the Brong-Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council would not entertain assembly members who would foment trouble and delay development in the Region.

Mr Yao expressed appreciation to the assembly for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work hard to move the district forward.
