The World Bank International Development Agency in collaboration with the Asutifi South District Assembly has made it possible for residents in the Mehame Community to get improved water supply with the construction of Mehame Small Town Water System.

The project which has been completed at the cost of GHC1, 432,323.29 and commissioned was to address inadequate water supply to residents in the community.

For some time, existing water systems in the community was not delivery enough for the ever increasing population in the community forcing some residents to resort to some water sources whose safety cannot be assured. More so, the situation was inhibiting economic activities for most people who have to spent longer hours just to get potable water for most of their domestic uses.

Like most small town water systems, it comprised overhead water tanker for storage, stand pipes and filtering system to ensure the people are served with safety water.
