MCE visits schools in the Asante Akim

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Asante Akim South Mr. Alexander Frimpong has paid a working visit to some schools and health centers in Banka and Banso in the Asante Akim South Municipality to assess some of the challenges and also offer words of encouragement.

The MCE during his interaction with the pupils advised them to learn hard for them to achieve good grades when their time of sitting for final examination comes. He then entreated the teachers to use the limited resources at their disposal to give the children the best of teaching and learning.

He also urged them to cultivate the habit of reading to enhance their studies.

Mr. Frimpong mentioned some interventions as the Capitation Grant, School Feeding Program supply of text books and renovation of a number of dilapidated school blocks, under the Millennium Development Program, as clear evidence of the government's commitment to quality education and said it is the duty of all stakeholders to put in the maximum effort to help children attain quality education.

He also took the opportunity to inspect an ongoing 26km road reshaping work on Banso to Banka.
