MCE Commissions modern KG block for Obogu Presby Primary
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asante Akim South Mr. Alexander Frimpong has commissioned a Modern Kindergarten school at Obogu, a community in the Asante Akim South Municipality to provide quality education at various stages of the educational level.

The new school block consist of 2 classrooms, staff room, rest room for the kids to sleep and rest, toilet facility, kitchen, washroom and a playground.
The MCE speaking at the commissioning ceremony said the completion of the project is an exhibition of the commitment and priority the current government placed on education.
He said education is the bedrock for the development of any nation, because it opens doors of opportunities for its citizens and it’s largely perceived as an indispensable tool, which will not only assist in meeting the nation’s social, political, moral, cultural and economic aspirations but will also inculcate in the individual, the knowledge, dexterity, skills, character and desirable values that will foster national development and self-actualization.
Mr. Frimpong indicated that the Assembly and the Member of Parliament for the area Mr. Kwaku Asante-Boateng are focused on improving the infrastructure base in the Municipality hence their decision to build new structures for children of school-going age, adding that the Assembly has taken a cue from the government’s drive towards improving the infrastructure base in the country and his outfit is following in that direction.
The MCE also distributed school bags to all the kids to resolve challenges of some parents who find it difficult to provide for their kids and admonished the authorities of the school to make good use of the facility and practice good maintenance culture so that it can last longer.
The Chiefs and People of Obogu extended their appreciation to the President, the MCE and the MP for the project.
