Inauguration of the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly held an inaugural ceremony to usher into office, elected Assembly members at the District level Elections on 19th December, 2023 as well as government appointees.

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the President of the Republic of Ghana, the Minister for National security, Mr. Albert Kan Dapaah, in his inaugural speech, admonished all elected Assembly members and Government Appointees to discharge their duties diligently by formulating rules and regulations that will bring development to our communities.


He admitted that there is more work to be done in our Assemblies but it will take collective effort for us to attain the development we hope for as a nation.

He also charged the elected Assembly members to study the local Government Laws and standing orders of the Assembly to effectively perform their duties.

Mr. Albert Kan Dapaah spoke about the need to keep a good relationship with the citizenry in order to help with the smooth run of the municipality.

He urged all Assembly members to recognize the authority of the traditional rulers of the various communities, since they are the custodians of the land.

The Municipal Co-coordinating Director of the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Mr. Ndinga Nborinyi in his welcome address acknowledged the contribution of the former Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Comfort Asante for her leadership in steering the Municipality this far.

He also expressed his appreciation to the Member of Parliament for New Juaben North constituency Nana Adjei Boateng for the massive developmental projects he has undertaken throughout the Municipality.

The Magistrate of Koforidua District court “A “, Her Worship Nana Amah Dabbah Fynn Nkansah (MRS) Sworn in all the elected members and government appointees in the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly.

Mr. Antwi Kwame Jacob and Mr. Owusu Afram Ishmael contested for the Presiding Member position but due to the small number of the house none of them secured the position as Presiding Member.
