Amansie South holds first Assembly Meeting

The Amansie South District Assembly at their first general meeting at Manso Adubia approved the Assembly's 2018 mid-year composite budget and formation of Executive and sub-committees to enable the new Assembly take off smoothly.

The District Chief Executive for the area, Mr William Bediako Asante in his remarks appealed to Assembly members to work hard to bring development to the district which according to him lacks total development.

He said with hard work and unity the district would soon develop.

He said the road network from Mem Junction to Manso Adubia, Keniago, Datano would soon be tarred for easy movement of goods and services.

Mr Bediako said the two major projects which need urgent attention in the district are the construction of a Police headquarters and the District Magistrate Court to help check crime rates in the district.

He also called for the formation of community watchdogs in all the communities to assist the police.

Mr Bediako Asante said the construction of medical officer's bungalow is ongoing to enable the Manso Adubia health centre to be upgraded to the District Hospital status.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr Samuel Kyei Baffour Frimpong asked the sub-committees to start work soon to enable the district assembly move forward.

He asked them to submit their priority projects to the Assembly for urgent consideration.

The Presiding member Mr Akuoko Kwarteng on his part asked Assembly Members to always meet their electorates and brief them on the Assembly deliberations
