The DCE, at the sod cutting ceremony indicated that fighting fire outbreaks and other disasters and its management is a shared responsibility, both to the Fire Service and citizenry at large and therefore used the occasion to appeal to traditional leaders to continue to release lands for new projects.
Representing the Regional Fire Commander, DOIII Thomas Asiedu applauded the assembly for the project, adding that the construction of the fire station will facilitate effective and prompt response to emergencies in the various communities within the district and nearby towns.
He encouraged the residents to cooperate and be responsible citizens who would create a peaceful atmosphere for the successful completion of the project and also advised residents to be more circumspect on the usage of fire in their daily activities especially during this harmattan season.
The Chief of Manso Adubia, Nana Doku Appiah Dankwah II also expressed profound gratitude to the assembly for the project and urged residents to refrain from using fire service emergency lines for jokes.
