MCE assures residents of fixing Asamankese road
The Municipal Chief Executive for West Akim, Mr. Seth Oduro Boadu has reiterated his commitment to have the deplorable roads within the West Akim Municipality fixed.

He promised not to relent in his effort to find a lasting solution to the bad roads which have not been attended to the over years.
He noted that though the contractors working on the packed their equipment away from the various sites somewhere last year, they have returned and have assiduously started construction works on a number of stretches and would complete projects in a due course.
The MCE said the municipality was also concerned about the deplorable nature of the roads in the municipality, and as such the assembly would do all the necessary follow-ups for all roads to be fixed.
He said the assembly’s doors are always opened to the public for clarification of issues that bothered them in their various communities. He said, he has told the contractor of the project to go according to the specifications and the timeline for the project. He urged the youth in the area to lend their support to the project.
Mr. Oduro disclosed this at the 2019 climate chance summit in Accra. He averred that Asamankesse, a farming community was dear to the assembly, adding that they would make the town look nice.
There was a protest some years ago even when the road was not as bad as it is now as the potholes have transformed into gullies, but, “We are working very hard to make sure Lower West Akim Municipality gets good roads to make movement easier. Because we are working for the people and we need to help as an assembly to make life a bit easier for them”, he stated.
