MCE leads team to enforce revenue collection

As part of measures to enforce revenue collection in the West Akim Municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Seth Oduro Boadu has led a team to enforce revenue collection.

This exercise comes on the heels of recent low income of the Assembly.

Many trader defaulters were made to pay their individual rates they owed during the exercise.

Shops of some defaulters were however locked with cautions that they incur double payment as penalty to defray the cost of padlocks and creating inconvenience to the Municipal Assembly.

It was detected during the operation that fake certificates borne by some traders were in operation. The situation aroused the suspicion that under-carbon fraud may also be under siege.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Peter Mac Ofori and the Municipal Finance Officer, Mr. Senyo Asimenu with other heads of departments and units led various teams within the municipality on the enforcement of the revenue collection.
