YouStart launched in West Akim Municipality

As part of the preliminary stage of the "YouStart" Programme, Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA) Initiative, the Municipal Chief Executive for West Akim, Seth Oduro Boadu, has officially launched the YouStart Programme at Asamankese.

The launch also ushered in the beneficiaries to the training phase of the programme. The MCE, in his address, urged the beneficiaries to make use of the opportunity available to them.

He reiterated that it is the goal of the president of the country to curb youth unemployment in the country, therefore, challenging the beneficiaries to put in their maximum effort to actualize the dream.

A total of 70 successful applicants were selected from the West Akim Municipal to benefit from the YouStart initiative.

8th May to 12th May, 2023 has been slated for the training sessions for the first trench of 35 beneficiaries which afterwards a suitable date would be scheduled for the remaining 35 beneficiaries.

The training is expected to equip the participants with the relevant skills to be able to grow their businesses when fully enrolled unto the programme.
