Ahafo ISD staff trained on the electronic salary payment voucher (ESPV) system

Staff of the Information Services Department (ISD) in the Ahafo Region have undergone a one-day capacity-building training on the Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (ESPV) system aimed at enhancing their efficiency in salary validation and payroll management.

The training, held on Tuesday, 14th October, 2025 at the Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council (AhRCC) conference hall in Goaso, brought together selected ISD staff from all six municipal and district assemblies across the region. It formed part of the department’s continuous efforts to ensure accountability, transparency, and accuracy in the management of public sector salaries.

In his opening remarks, the Ahafo Regional Information Officer, Mr. Kombat Bassum Maxwell emphasized that the ESPV platform remains a vital tool for preventing irregularities on the government payroll. He noted that empowering staff with the right digital skills would not only improve administrative performance but also contribute to effective public financial management.

The training was facilitated by Mr Nana Bediatuo, officer from the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD),Accra, who took participants through the practical processes of accessing, validating, and submitting monthly salary data on the ESPV platform. Participants were also briefed on common system errors and how to resolve them to avoid payment interruptions.


Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in hands-on practice on the system. They commended the organizers for the initiative, describing the training as timely and impactful. They pledged to apply the knowledge acquired to ensure accurate and prompt salary validations within their respective districts.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Kombat Bassum Maxwell expressed appreciation to the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council and the CAGD for their continuous support in building the capacity of ISD staff. He encouraged participants to share the knowledge gained with their colleagues to ensure uniform understanding and effective use of the ESPV system across the region.

The session forms part of a broader effort to strengthen public sector efficiency and align operations with the government’s digital transformation agenda.
