Shai-Osudoku DCE makes donations to the traditional council

The Chief Executive of Shai-Osudoku District, Daniel Teye Akuffo has donated handwashing and food items to the Shai and Osudoku Traditional councils to help the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in the Shai-Osudoku District of the Greater Accra.

The DCE Daniel Akuffo donated on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ishmael Ashitey, and the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Miss Gloria Afua Akuffo.

Each Traditional council received 10 sets of handwashing items which include Veronica buckets, liquid soap, sanitizers, waste bin, Tissue, Washing Bowls together with stands, bags of Rice, tin tomatoes, bags of Gari and cartons of sardines.

Mr. Akuffo on behalf of the Minister for Justice also donated 500 pieces of LED bulbs each to the Shai and Osudoku Traditional councils as part of her contribution to the Covid-19 fight.



DCE presented the items to the two Traditional councils at Dodowa and Asutsuare respectively, He said the Assembly has maintained the efforts aimed at combating the virus and the education been extensive.

“On behalf of the chiefs in Dodowa, Okukurubuor Tei Kwesi Agyeman (V) expressed his gratitude to the President, Nana Akufo Addo, the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Miss Gloria Afua Akuffo and the DCE for Shai-Osudoku, Mr.Daniel Akuffo for their immense support for the Traditional council towards tackling the Coronavirus pandemic.”



He said as part of the Traditional council's efforts to combat the virus, the chiefs have been encouraged to lead educational efforts in their various communities.

Paramount Chief of Osudoku Traditional council, aadebgor Ngmogmowuyaa Kwesi Animle VI, received the items on behalf of the council and thanked the President, Attorney General, and DCE for their kind gesture.
