Osei Yaw Boahen confirmed as MCE

Assembly Members of the Asunafo North Municipality in the Ahafo Region have massively endorsed the President’s Nominee, Osei Yaw Boahen as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Municipal Assembly in Goaso.

The massive endorsement came after the Regional Electoral Commissioner, Mr.John Appiah Baffour, explained proceedings to house and said the nominee need to meet a constitutional requirement of two- thirds of members present and voting.

He therefore appealed to members to conduct themselves well and allow the process to conducted in a free and fair manner. At the end of voting, Osei Boahen polled all 42 valid votes cast representing 100%.

In his acceptance speech, the renominated MCE expressed gratitude to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the confidence reposed in him to serve as his Chief Representative in the district for the second term and pledged to use his influence to bring development to the area.

He commended Nananom, the assembly members and residents for the support and confidence repose in him and called on them to collaborate with his outfit to uplift the areas development.

On his part, the Ahafo Regional Minister, George Yaw Boakye commended the assembly members for the display of what he termed love for the community.

He pledged the ARCC readiness to partner all for development.The exercise was witnessed by chiefs, staff and the general public.
