DCE calls on citizenry to rally behind Government for more development projects
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asikuma-Odoben, Mrs Georgina Nkrumah Aboah has said for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to achieve the “Better Ghana Agenda”, it behoves the people to strongly rally behind the Government.

Mrs Aboah said it was only through the Better Ghana Agenda that Ghanaians could improve their living conditions, adding that the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly within two years, had been able to provide Breman Brakwa with development projects to help to improve their lot.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency shortly after visiting the town, the DCE listed the projects to include the construction of a three-unit classroom block and another three-Unit classroom block with a computer laboratory, KVIP latrine.
The DCE urged the management of the Breman Brakwa “Small Town Water System” to be transparent and accountable to the community in respect of the proceeds from the sale of water.
She said the District Assembly’s future programme for the town included the construction of a modern market complex and extension of electricity to the Senior High School.
When contacted, the Chief of Breman Brakwa, Nana Yamuah IV told the GNA that the DCE and the Assembly deserved commendation and appealed for the construction of a motorable road from Brakwa through Afofosu to Akim Akroso to help to facilitate the transportation of passengers and goods from the Central Region to the Eastern Region.
Nana Yamuah stated that the town was in the process of forming a Community Environmental Committee to implement the District Assembly’s Bye-Laws on sanitation to rid Brakwa of filth, adding that ä task force would be formed to check children from going out in the nights to watch videos and to attend funerals”.
