Speaking at the ‘Meet the Press’ series to account to the people, the DCE responding to sentiments expressed by residents on the deplorable states of roads in the district said though “our roads have become a major challenge in the district, the necessary measures have been put in place to make them more motorable”.

One Kofi Desmond was particularly not happy about the plight of residents and other road users following the collapse of two major bridges in the district including the Breman Kuntenase Bridge and the Okyesua Bridge which connects the district to Akim Oda in the Birim Central Municipality.

For him, the ordeal of commuters having to cross the bridge by foot before boarding another car was stressful, time-consuming and needed to be addressed as soon as possible.

In response, the DCE appealed to and sundry to exercise restraints promising the bridges would be constructed soon as the two situations have already been reported to the Director of bridges at the national level.

On education, Mr. Odoom assured that the government is fully committed to raising the standard of education by creating opportunities for all hence the introduction of the free senior high school education.

There was also support to organize a pre-shs class for three communities; Asikuma, Brakwa, and Odonben with the sole aim of preparing them for the SHS as well as reducing teenage pregnancy which used to be very high during those periods.
