EJURA: Officials schooled on private participation in revenue mobilizzation

The Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly continue to explore avenues and harness its chances of increasing revenue mobilization.

And this is what informed the Assembly to school heads of departments, and chairmen of various sub-committees of the assembly on possible ways of improving revenue generation.



Presentation were made on
• Private participation in revenue collection;
• Infrastructure development to boost economic activities to improve revenue;
• Proposed improved revenue collection systems among others

The briefing session which was held at the Collinmay Hotel in Ejura underscored the need to adopt technology like the use of mobile money services among others to reduce human involvement and make payment of levies, rates and taxes more flexible and convenient to the citizenry.



More so, the Assembly was called upon to invest more in its infrastructure that have the potential of raking in more money to the assembly.

Present were the Municipal Chief Executive, Municipal Coordinating Director, Presiding Member, Chairmen of Sub-Committees, heads of departments/units.
