The chief raised the concerns over the development challenges affecting his traditional area, stressing the need for urgent intervention to improve infrastructure and enhance the living conditions of residents.

He identified the poor state of roads as a major challenge confronting communities in the area, explaining that improved road networks would facilitate transportation, support commercial activities and make it easier for residents to access essential services.

Nene Ofei Tagbaja I also expressed concern about communities that remain without electricity, calling for measures to extend power supply to the affected areas to promote development and improve the quality of life of residents.

The chief further drew attention to the unfinished dining hall project at Asesewa Senior High School, highlighting the need for its completion to improve facilities for students and support effective school administration.

Responding to the concerns, the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, pledged that efforts would be made to undertake road works in the area within a year.

The Minister also assured the chief and residents that steps would be taken to explore the extension of electricity to communities that are yet to be connected to the national power grid.

Her assurances followed the concerns raised by the traditional leader, who called for greater attention to infrastructure development and improved access to essential services.

The commitments are expected to bring renewed hope to residents, particularly those affected by poor roads and the lack of electricity. However, the proposed interventions will depend on the implementation of the promised measures.

The engagement highlights the importance of collaboration between traditional authorities and government officials in identifying local development needs and working towards lasting solutions.
