MCE engages traders of pedestrian shopping mall

Nii Adjei Tawiah, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Korle Klottey Municipality has engaged traders of the pedestrian shopping mall to brief them on some developmental projects.

In his briefing, the MCE disclosed the Municipal Assembly’s intention to build a modern shopping center to help improve buying and selling in the area.

Mr. Tawiah took the opportunity to further explain the current situation of the building of the market against some rumors and misconceptions circulating in the media that the Assembly have no intentions of.

“It has been brought to the attention of the Assembly that, it is rumored that the premises have been sold to some unknown drivers, and also the agreed development plan which is supposed to take place has been changed. “He said

The MCE then assured the traders that the statements are all false and therefore must be ignored.

He revealed that the Eastern part of the market has not been sold to the drivers but are to relocate there temporarily till the full completion of the project.

He then advised traders to remain calm and also keep good sanitation and civil practices to make Ghana a better place.
