MP donates sewing machines to her constituents

Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korley constituency of the Greater Accra Region has donated fifteen (15) sewing machines to individuals in both Osu and Adabraka communities of the constituency.

The gesture was in response to requests put before her by some constituents who needed the machines to aid them in their sewing businesses.

Speaking at a colourful presentation ceremony, Dr. Zanetor, admonished the recipients to put the sewing machines to good use in order to transform their lives and people in their communities.

The MP also advised the recipients not to keep their skills to themselves, but also train other youth in their vicinity, so the benefits will have a multiplying effect in their communities.

“When we invest in women, by and large, the entire family benefits from it. Now that you have the machines, you must also do something good for somebody else. Identify some young people in your vicinity who are interested in sewing and mentor them.” She stated.

She added that she will continue to invest her time and resources to help develop the capacities of her constituents.
