“Revive our market”- Aduamoa residents cry out

Some residents of Aduamoa in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region have called on various stakeholders to help revive an abandoned market center to help improve trade in the area.

Information gathered indicates that, the market centre has been abandoned for years on grounds of a superstitious belief that seem to have scared away traders from selling their products at the place.

Mr. Kwesi Ankomah, a concerned resident, lamented that the market has been abandoned for so many years now and all efforts by the unit committee to revive it has proven futile.

He added that trading during market days was not effective any longer as traders now prefer to travel to other neighboring communities for their trading activities.

Meanwhile, speaking in an interview with Ghanadisticts.com, the District Chief Executive, Mr Isaac Agyapong said that the Assembly had no idea that the market was not in operation.

He however promised to get the issue resolved as soon as possible.
