Baffour Yeboah Asuamah re-elected as PM
Kwahu East District Assembly Presiding Member, Baffour Yeboah Asuamah I re-elected for the third time

Mr Baffour Yeboah Asuamah was elected at a majority decision of 31 votes cast out of an overall 33 assembly members including the District Chief Executive (DCE) and excluding the member of parliament who in addition makes the number 34 but as a legal requirement, he does not have the right to cast vote, representing 98% of the total votes cast.
The two (2 assembly members who could not have the chance to cast their votes respectively were said to be on an official trip while the other is said to be unwell.
The PM, Baffour Yeboah Asuamah who doubles as the Kwahu Mawere Hene is being re-elected by his colleague honorable to retain his position went unopposed as no other candidate filed a nomination to contest for the post.
The election, which was held at the Assembly hall and was overseer by the District electoral Commissioner Mrs. Stella Sarpong while the District Magistrate judge, His Lordship Solomon Kwasi Alamatu, sworn in the Presiding Member after his re-election.
The PM, while speaking on the sidelines of the elections, acknowledged the efforts of his associates and rallied for their relentless support in making sure that the Kwahu East District continues to be one of the best in the region.
