ADA E: Pute chps compound reduce pressure on other facilities
Assistant District Engineer of the Ada East Assembly, Fred Amewode said the establishment of a community-based health and planning centre at Pute by the Assembly has reduced pressure on other district health facilities in Ada Foah.

According to him, two months ago the health directorate at Ada Foah confirmed to him that the number of reported OPD cases has reduced at the District health facility.
He said this in an interview when he took ghanadistricts.com news team around some facilities the Assembly had completed, as well as others at various stages of completion.
Mr. Amewode further pointed out that the facility was handed over for operation in the early part of 2017, through a request by the Assemblyman for the area. Prior to this a clinic was operated from one of the classrooms in the community.
More than ten communities benefit from the Pute chps compound, and Engineer noted that the chps compound serves as a first aid, whiles previously health issues had to be rushed to Ada Foah.
Major health issues were referred to Fitkope hence the provision of another chip compound at Big Ada to serve as first port of call before referal.
As at 10:00am Friday 16th August 2019 when the team was living Pute chps compound, the facility was still not opeedn, but Mr. Fred Amewode noted that usually the place is opened and accommodation has been provide to ensure that.
A trip which should have taken fifteen minutes drive from the Assembly to Pute chps compound took almost thirty minutes as some portions of the road was not tarred.
He said the District Chief Executive, Sarah Dugbakie Pobee and Member of Parliament, Comfort Doe are working together, to ensure that the road network is fixed.
