The Chief Executive of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, Mr. Isaac Ashai Odamtten has assured staff that logistical constraints will soon be a thing of the past saying that they (TMA) are putting measures in place to solve such drawbacks.

The Chief Executive of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, Mr. Isaac Ashai Odamtten has assured staff that logistical constraints will soon be a thing of the past saying that they (TMA) are putting measures in place to solve such drawbacks.

According to the MCE “we are in the process of identifying the logistical needs of all the department to ensure that productivity is at its optimum”.

He said apart from provision of adequate logistics the Assembly has also adopted a number of measures to help instill fundamental principles of good corporate governance and code of conduct for staff which would cover all aspects of recruitment and training.

“Measures have been instituted for the monitoring of attendance, lateness and good conduct,” he emphasized.

Mr. Odamtten who bared the above information recently, revealed that the current staffing position of the Assembly stands at 1,078 including all the staff of the hitherto decentralized department’s namely urban roads, department of Agric, NADMO, Cooperatives, Community Development and Social Welfare as well as the staff recruited and paid by TMA itself.
