Mr. Peter Kofi Osei-Ashia The Upper Denkyira East Municipal Chief Executive has been asked to relief his post according to a new directive from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

However, the outgoing MCE is expected to as soon as possible handover affairs of the assembly to the Central Regional Minister Mr. Samuel Sarpong.

He is among the over thirty MMDCEs who were ask to handover affairs of their various Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies to their respective regional ministers until further appointments are made.

Mr. Osei-Ashia gain his appointed by the late president, John Evans Ata-Mills.

Meanwhile, information from sources indicates new appointment will soon be made by President John Dramani Mahama to replace the outgoing MCE.
