E GONJA: New ambulance to open up healthcare delivery

For the purpose of enhancing quality healthcare delivery in the district, the East Gonja District Assembly has taken delivery of a National Ambulance Service vehicle meant to dispatch emergency health cases to major facilities in the area.

For the purpose of enhancing quality healthcare delivery in the district, the East Gonja District Assembly has taken delivery of a National Ambulance Service vehicle meant to dispatch emergency health cases to major facilities in the area.

The facility which was acquired as a result of government’s effort to boost the operations of the National Ambulance Service countrywide will among other things improve the health system of the district.

District Chief Executive for the area, Alhassan Mumuni who revealed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com reiterated that though the facility first of its kind is limited in number he will strive to attract more of the facilities to the district.

He indicated that the health sector is crucial to the development of the area, hence the Assembly will endeavour to promote quality health delivery to meet the health challenges of the people.
