The Ahafo Ano South District assembly has constructed a new state of the art police station at Pokukrom to replace the old structure that compelled authorities to close down the station some five years ago.

In an exclusive interview with Ghanadistricts.com the District Chief Executive, Thomas Kwakwah, noted that the security of residents is paramount and the assembly will go every extent to protect people in the district hence the essence in revamping the police post.

Still on social infrastructure the Chief Executive noted that his outfit is constructing residential accommodation for ambulance personnel who have been posted to the district. The facility according to him will cost some GHS 75,000 when completed. The assembly has also commissioned 4 classroom block facility and two GETfund projects for some selected schools in the district.

Accommodation facility for teachers in the district have also not been left out as 2 new teachers quarters have been constructed at Pokukrom to ease the accommodation challenges on the teaching staff.
