BEKWAI:Assembly eliminates 3 schools under tree

As part of efforts to fulfill government’s policy of eliminating school under trees, three schools in Bekwai Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region have benefited from the construction of an ultra modern classroom blocks boost the quality of education.

As part of efforts to  fulfill government’s policy of eliminating school under trees, three schools in Bekwai Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region have benefited from the construction of an ultra modern classroom blocks boost the quality of education.

The beneficial school includes Kyekyewere Municipal Assembly, Afransia Methodist and Dad Municipal Primary Schools respectively which were previously run under trees.

In a brief interview with Ghanadistricts.com the District Chief Executive Hon. Noah Asante Manu said that the provisions were special intervention measures implemented by his outfit in order to ensure quality education, most especially in the deprived areas within the municipality.

He noted that, the project financed through Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) is duly completed and currently in use to ensure its intended purpose of enhancing teaching and learning in the various areas, adding that his outfit will go the extra mile in order to meet the required educational standard.

In other related developments, Hon. Manu further disclosed that the assembly through its share of the District Development Fund (DDF) has also constructed an ultra modern 20 seater water closet WC public toilet at Bekwai to improve sanitation conditions in the community, all aimed at realizing the ruling party’s Better Ghana Agenda.
