The District Chief Executive for Kwabre East, Hon. Adams Iddisah has called for support from all sides of the political divide in the district, to move faster the wheels of development in the district.

He said the position of the District Chief Executive, though a political one, demands collaboration from all sides of the political divide and, therefore appealed for support from chiefs, opinion leaders, assembly members and all those who have Kwabre District at heart.

Hon. Adams made the call when he toured some communities in the district as part of a familiarization tour to introduce himself to the chiefs and opinion leaders in the communities and also, to get first hand information about the needs and plights of his people and how best to solve them.

The communities he visited included Akitibombo, Adense, Abira and
Sakare Wonoo all in the Kwabre district.

He said elections were over and what is important now is for everyone to put aside their political colours and contribute their quota to the development of Kwabre, adding that they should not hesitate to approach him on any suggestions they deem important for the growth of the district.

He also assured that plans are far advanced to spread the school feeding programme across all the communities in the district, to encourage children of school going age to attend school, adding that, very soon the National Democratic Congress manifesto policy of providing free school uniforms to most needy students would be made available nationwide.

For his part, the chief of Abira, Nana Kesse Tare appealed to the District Chief Executive to assist them in completing a library block they started building some years back. He said the community received a number of computers from relatives in the Diaspora, but a better place to keep them for use has become a problem.

He also said the absence of a market in the community is hampering the work of the women in the community who are mainly farmers, since they hardly get a better place to sell their wares, adding that in cases that they have to cart their wares to the cities to sell, they find it difficult since their roads are also not motorable.

Nana Kesse Tare also assured the Hon. Adams of his support in all his endeavours.

The DCE was accompanied by the District Information Officer, District Cultural Officer and some executives of the NDC in the constituency
