The construction of the new school block is in response to appeal made by residents of Aselivikrom to the District Chief Executive for the area, Mr. Eric Kwaku Kusi for an improved and conducive teaching and learning environment when he was on tour of the community as part of his fact finding tour on his assumption of office earlier in the year.

According to the DCE, the state of the existing structure made of mud, as he observed really called for an intervention, hence the quick response to their plea.

Performing the sod cutting ceremony to officially commence construction works, Mr Kusi noted that the swift response attests to the importance the assembly attached to education and appealed to all stakeholders, including teachers and parents to pay critical attention to the education of children.

He noted the investment is to build better and stronger future for the young generation, but this can only be achieved if all those who have roles to play do so well.

He also reminded teachers to help the JHS students to get good grades to quality at the BECE level to pave way for them to benefit from the free senior high school policy.

Others officers from the Assembly present were; Mr Sarfo Emmanuel deputy district planning officer, Mr Dauglas Koomson, the District Works Engineer.
