Kusi Kwaku Eric hands over 600 mono desks to Adansi North Education Directorate
District Chief Executive (DCE) of Adansi North, Kusi Kwaku Eric has presented 600 mono desks to basic schools in the District. Presenting the desks to the District Education Director, the DCE said that, the dual desks were procured from the District Assembly Common Fund for distribution to schools that are in dire need of desks and so it is only appropriate he hands them over to the District Education Director for fair distribution.

Although, the DCE admits the desks will not be enough for every school, he was hopeful schools that receive them will put them into good use to enhance teaching and learning.
He assured the Education Directorate that, Senior High Schools would soon benefit from the furniture distribution programme.
The District Education Director, Alhaji Ibrahim Amankwaah, who received the desks on behalf of the schools was thankful to the DCE for the kind gesture and added that the desks would go a long way to enhance teaching and learning as well as reducing the desk deficit in the beneficiary schools.
He used the opportunity to request for teachers desks and accommodations to enable teachers have befitting classrooms and places to stay.
He also revealed that, the BECE candidates in the District were well prepared for the Basic Examination Certificate Examination (BECE) which is to start in the second week of August, 2023.
Kusa Assembly Member, Akwasi Afoakwah expressed his appreciation to the Hon. DCE on behalf of all Assembly Members towards the presentation made to the schools but added that, teachers should also be provided tables and chairs and all other teaching materials to bring out the best in them.
