Veep commends Muslims for peaceful coexistence

The Vice President Mohammadu Bawumia has commended Muslims for the peaceful coexistence demonstrated within the region and nation as a whole.

He congratulated them for the successful organization of the Eid celebrations.

He advised that they continue to submit to Allah and stay away from social vises. He prayed that Allah guide and bring the pilgrims home safely.

The vice president reiterated government's vision to improve the lives of Ghanaians regardless of their religious and ethnic background.

 

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Peace Council mentioned that as they celebrate the feast of sacrifice they should forgive one another and called for peace at the Tamale station at Alabar.

He said the council is in talks with chiefs and stakeholders to ensure peace, and expressed hope the meeting will yield positive results.

The Regional Chief Imam Sultan Alhaji Umar Farouk Saeed commended the chiefs and the National Peace Council for ensuring peace within the Muslim communities.

 

He promised that his office will do its best to ensure that the peace they are enjoying will continue always. He led the congregation in prayer.
