Awutu Adawukwao residents appeal for drinking water

The People of Adawukwao in the Awutu Senya East in the Central Region are appealing to government to extend its water project to their area as a matter of urgency.

According to the residents, they have never tasted potable water in their area even though politicians come to campaign during every electioneering season.

The Resident said the only source of water in the community is polluted stream in the area.

In view of this, the residents’ fear of being at risk of various diseases such as cholera and guinea worm infestation which are very common in the community.

They are therefore appealing to the government, the Municipal Assembly and corporate organizations to come to their aid or they will advise themselves accordingly when elections are due.
