KMA, Partners Equip 44 Apprentices with Start-Up Kits to Boost Jobs and Skills in Kumasi
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), in collaboration with the Ghana Enterprise Agency and with support from the Mastercard Foundation, has provided start-up kits to 44 newly trained apprentices to help them establish their businesses.

The equipment ranging from sewing machines and baking ovens to welding and auto mechanic tools is expected to boost productivity and growth across trades such as dressmaking, hairdressing, welding, and pastry production.
Speaking at the presentation, Francis Dodovi explained that the initiative is designed to support beneficiaries in setting up and expanding their ventures.
He advised recipients to handle the equipment responsibly to ensure its long-term value and sustainability.
Beneficiaries were also encouraged to make effective use of the tools to build lasting livelihoods and contribute positively to their communities.
