Kumawu DCE to actively promote the development of cassava processing factory

The District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana Akwasi Amankwaa, has emphasized the importance of cassava processing in the area and highlighted plans to establish a cassava processing factory.

He mentioned that feasibility studies are underway to prepare for the construction of the factory and that the Assembly is collaborating with neighboring districts to secure sufficient raw materials, during an interview with GhanadistrictsTV.

The DCE also encouraged residents to embrace the project and utilize it for employment and economic empowerment.

“Preparatory work, including feasibility studies, is being conducted to pave the way for the factory's construction”.

The DCE is urging residents to take advantage of the project to gain employment and improve their livelihoods and also aims to empower rural communities and add value to agricultural produce.
