Her swearing in on Tuesday, though boycotted by the Minority side of the house for what they described as their inability to legitimize what they believe was a flawed and compromised process did not take away the shine and beauty of the ceremony in the House.
The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Bagbin administered the oath to usher her into the House.
She has pushed the number of the National Democratic Congress Majority by one to 184; securing them an absolute two-thirds majority in the House. The Minority on the otherhand currently has 87 instead of 88 following the unfortunate demise of Ernest Kumi, the Member of Parliament for Akwatia in the Eastern Region.
The Majority also has the benefit of even greater numbers as all the four independent Members of Parliament have opted to do business with them increasing their number to 188.
Meanwhile, Akwatia is still outstanding as the pending bye-election to get a replacement for Ernest Kumi could go anyway.
The Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga has however assured that his side would use the two-thirds majority to improve the lives of the people.
