85 PWDs get support from Juaben Municipal Assembly
Persons with Disabilities numbering about eighty five (85) in the Juaben Municipality in the Ashanti Region have been given different types of support by the Juaben Municipal Assembly to help improve upon their standards of living.

The beneficiaries received cash and various items such as popcorn machines, fridges, sewing machines, wheel chairs, fufu pounding machines, knapsack spraying machines, gas cylinders, and cutlasses among others.
This is the first time persons with disabilities in the municipality have received such benefits since the inception of the Assembly.
Speaking at the programme, the Municipal Chief Executive for Juaben Municipal Assembly, Kodjo Ansah-Sem said, the support form part of government’s effort to incorporate persons with disabilities (PWDs) into the mainstream of the society and to help them to contribute their quota to the development of the nation, 3% of the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) was allocated to enhance PWDs activities.
He opined that, his outfits will continue to provide such support to persons with disabilities every year in order to alleviate poverty in the area.
He therefore, advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the items to improve upon their living condition and also encouraged the applicants who were not selected to expect theirs in the next disbursement.
The vice chairman for the physically challenge who doubles as the representative for Ghana Federation of Disables Mr. Yaw Sarpong who received the items on behalf of the beneficiaries commended the government and thanked the MCE for their kind gesture.
He then, pledged to use the items for the intended purposes to generate income for their daily bread.
