He reiterated his call on the town folks to rekindle their spirit of communal labour and work together to ensure every initiative intended to improve the welfare of the people in the Municipality.

Addressing the concerns of the people at Nkyerepoaso,Ofoase and Abenteim during his visit to the towns, the MCE advised them to initiate Community Self-Help Projects because the Municipal Assembly has a huge financial burden.

Mr. Omane Aboagye cited communities like Atia, Achiase and Adumasa have taken the lead in said initiative which is worth emulation.

He therefore encouraged other communities to emulate the good steps of the communities to ensure rapid development in their communities.

This came to light during day nine of the MCE's ten-day "Community engagement tour", to thank and introduce himself to the chiefs, assembly members and unit community members for their massive support when he was nominated for the position by the President.

Mr. Omane Aboagye also asked the chiefs for their blessings, prayers, advice and cooperation to push forward the development agenda of the Municipality.

Some of the communities visited are Achiase, Akronwi, Eassase, Wabiri, Peminase, Adumasa, New Bomfa, Duampompo, Kubease and Yaw Nkrumah.

The rest were Wanaa, Boamadumase, Atia, Sekyere, Woraponso, Dumakwai, Yeboakrom and Amangonase.

The tour also afforded him the opportunity to engage with chiefs and residents on their challenges.

Most of the communities visited shared similar challenges such as poor road network, extension of electricity, street bulbs, portable drinking water, construction of health centers, police post to combat crime, community center, football pitch, toilet facility, school block and job issues as some of their major problems.

The MCE was accompanied by the Presiding Member (PM), Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Apostle Peter Antwi Boasiako, some Heads of Departments, Assembly Members as well as party executives.

The residents through their chiefs commended the MCE for the visit and pleaded with him to address their challenges.
