N JUABEN N: MCE distributes face masks to market women

The Municipal Chief Executive of New Juaben North Municipal Assembly Hon. Comfort Asante has urged market traders to adhere to the preventive protocols put in place by the government to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The Municipal Chief Executive made the call when she visited the markets in the Municipality to distribute facemasks to the market women.

Addressing the market women present, the MCE said these are challenging times for all of us. Not only people in this Municipality but the country Ghana as a whole, she is confident that this situation will not be with us forever.

She encouraged them to comply with the wearing of facemasks, observing social distance in the market place and regularly use of hand sanitizers as well as washing of hands with soap and water frequently.

Madam Comfort Asante took the time to demonstrate how the face mask should be worn to the market women.

Some of the markets Madam Comfort Asante made the facemasks distribution includes; the Jumapo, Akwadum, Effiduase, and Oyoko market.

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly is making an effort to produce more facemasks to be distributed in the Municipality.

A total of two thousand facemasks have been distributed and the Assembly has made plans to produce four thousand more facemasks to be distributed in the Municipality.
