PWDs receive support from new Juaben Jorth Assembly

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has presented items to forty-Eight (48) Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

The items included three (3) wheel chairs, five (5) freezers and ice chest coolers, one (1) fufu Machine, one (1) container, one (1)laptop, one(1) set fried rice items and one shoe Gunning machine and cash donations.

 

Participant’s persons were taken through business and financial literacy training before items and cash was disburse to them to assist in their work.

 

Presenting the items, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Samuel Adongo asked the beneficiaries to use the tools and other equipment judiciously for the right purpose so that they would become economically empowered, financially independent.

 

The MCE explained that this will not only help them contribute their quota to the socio-economic development of their communities but also raise their standard of living.

 

The New Juaben North Chairman for Ghana Federation of Disability, Mr. Kofi Sarpong Boateng, praised the Government through the Assembly for answered prayers of the PWDs by presenting them with what they requested for .He however urged them to make use of the items to improve their lives.

 

Beneficiaries were drawn from Jumapo, Effiduase, Suhyen, Asokore, and Akwadum, all in the New Juaben North Municipality.

 

Present were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Anthony Kwenin, Municipal Social welfare Officer, Mr. Patrick Opong, and Chairman for social welfare Committee, Mr. Mohammed Harunna Fuseini.
