ADANSI S: Michael Osei of Oseikrom crowned 2017 District Best Farmer
Mr. Michael Osei a 64 years old farmer was adjudged the best farmer of Adansi South District for the year 2017.

He received a Motor Bike, a radio set, Knapsack sprayer, cutlasses, wellington boots assorted chemicals, Rosette and a certificate as his award.
Mr. Osei was so excited that in his acceptance speech he called on the youth with exuberant strength to venture into agriculture since it is the best way to make good life than to troop into the cities in search of non-existing jobs.
He thanked the DCE Hon. Francis K. Ankomah, the District Coordinating Director, and the District Director of Agriculture for honoring him for his hard work as a farmer.
"The only business which can yield you thousands of Ghana cedis within a short period is agriculture; if you plant rice within 90 days you will get plenty of money for yourself. Youth join the agriculture business and you will not regret" The Best farmer concluded.

Mr. Stephen Oduro of Okyerekrom, a 25 years old young man also won the District Best Youth Farmer. In his acceptance remarks he said that he was into the Galamsey business and when the government decided to end the illegal mining activity he decided to go into agriculture." Now I am better off than when I was in the galamsey business, I was destroying my strength for nothing but now I am happy to say that I am able to take care of my family well. Mr Oduro concluded by advising the youth to use their strength for agriculture activities since it is very lucrative".
For his award, Mr. Stephen Oduro received a 32"Samsung LED TV, a radio set, Knapsack sprayer, cutlasses, wellington boots, Ice Chest, Rosette and a certificate.
Both Mr. Osei and Oduro thanked the DCE, the Coordinating Director, the District Director of Agriculture and the entire staff of the Assembly and the Ministry of Agriculture for honoring them and pledged to continue to work hard to get to the regional level next year.
