Kintampo Rural Bank organizes science and math’s quiz for senior high schools
The Kintampo Rural Bank Limited has organized a Science and Math’s quiz competition for senior high schools within its catchment area to mark the bank’s 40th Anniversary.

Kintampo Rural Bank established in 1979 is forty years, and the Board Chairman, former deputy minister of Agriculture and former Member of Parliament for Kintampo South, Mr. Yaw Effah Baafi, noted the anniversary “is not worth celebrating without institutions in the catchment area”.
He said, stakeholders of the bank alone were not exclusively the reasons for the successes of the banks but also attribute it to all and sundry in the area of operations.
Participating schools in the science and maths quiz competition included Kintampo Senior High School, Techiman Senior High School, Jema Senior High School, Tuobodom Senior High Technical School all in the Bono East Region and Buipe Senior High School in the Savannah Region.
The Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Nelson Addai-Poku commended the board and management of the bank for the exposure and opportunity granted the students.
He indicated that, “Education is essential to success, it is an investment to our future. Leavening is the primary purpose for establishing schools and all should support the provision of tools for learning”.
He call on present to patronize the products and services of the bank for them to acquire the needed resources to support education.

Meanwhile, the quiz master, Frank Atta of Sunyani Senior High School who is also the Regional Coordinator for the National Science and Maths Quiz declared Techiman Senior High School as winners of the competition with 68 points from the five (5) rounds. Kintampo SHS, Jema SHS, Buipe SHS as well as Tuobodom SHS cam 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.
The bank awarded all contestants with exercise books branded with Kintampo Rural bank, calendars and undisclosed amounts of money with the promise by the bank to also support Techiman and Kintampo Senior High Schools who were also heading towards Accra for the National Science and Maths quiz.
