Gov’t extends free shs programme to Duadaso No.1 SHTS
The government under the leadership of H. E, Nana Akuffo Addo has on 28th July, 2018, absorbed Duadaso No.1 Senior High Technical School as one of the beneficiary schools under the free Senior High School Programme in the district.

The above mentioned school is one of the schools in the district established by the Community in 2010.
The headmaster of the school in his welcome address said the school was formally known as Duadaso No.1 Senior High and was established on 22nd September, 2010, with a student population of twenty eight (28) for the 2010/2011 academic year and with the motor in Nafana language"Nii Yo Ni Anga" meaning 'Yes We Can Do'.
On 19th September, 2016 the school received approval to offer the following 3 courses, ie, General Arts, Business (Accounting option) as well as Technical (Building construction).
They had approval from WAEC to register candidates for the 2017 WASSCE through the efforts of the school management, he added.
Fifty five (55) candidates were presented to write; and the outcome was fifty (50) of the students passing all eight (8)subjects representing 91%, while the remaining 5 candidates had 7 passes also representing 9% for the first time which qualifies them for further education in any tertiary institutions in Ghana and beyond.
According to the Headmaster, 80 candidates were presented to write the 2018 WASSCE exams and although the school has not yet receive the hard copy of the results, the responses from students who have checked their results on the internet are yielding positively. He, the school management is expecting 360 fresh students in September this year.
The District Chief Executive, Adane Ankomah during his address used the opportunity to congratulate Nananom and the people of the community for such a wonderful effort they've put in place to uplift the second cycle education in the district. He said he and his administration as well as the NPP government is 100% ready to support the school with well trained and qualified teachers and also equip the school with better educational materials to ease teachings and learning.
The Regional Minister, Hon. Asumah Cheremeh also thanked the people for their tremendous work and advised others to emulate the communal spirit of the community. He therefore promised to provide the school with computers and other ICT equipment.
A donation of GHC 1,000 was made to support the school by the Hon. Minister.
