Kintampo Municipal Celebrates Africa Youth Day
The Kintampo Municipal Assembly as part of Africa Youth Day, had a peace vigil for peaceful election come December 2020.

This programme witness a lot of youth groups in the Municipality and representatives of the various political parties such as; New Periotic Party (NPP), the National Democratic Congress (NDC), People National Convention (PNC), Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Convention People Party (CPP).
All the youth groups and political parties followed the float with lighted candles starting from the Kintampo Municipal Community Centre through some principal streets of the Municipality and ended at the VIP station.
Leaders of the various political parties spoke to promise to the people of Kintampo that all their campaign would be peaceful without insults.
The speaker of the Kintampo Youth Parliament Mr. Dangima Yaro used the occasion to ask all the youth of the Municipality to be patriotic, that is, to respect the country by not saying things that may spark fight between political parties to affect the peace that we are living in, both in the Municipality and a Country as whole.
He also added that, we should make love lead in whatever campaign massage one may want to deliver. He concluded by advising all politicians to be mindful of what they say to the general public.
Mr. Joseph Nanga one of the communication directors of the NPP party urged the youth to let this county have a peaceful election come December 7th. For election is not a “do or die thing”.
He then promised to send the passage to his campaign team to be careful with their chose of words whenever they are on campaign.
The Municipal Officer of Information Services Department Madam Rufina Yuoni also asked women to also campaign against polities with insults for any time a country is not at peace it is always women and children who suffer the most.
Mr. Shaibu of the Youth Authority also gave a word of peace and the representative of CPP Mr. Ninsiah Benjamin also spoke on behalf of his party.
