BUILSA S: DCE cuts sod for 5 new classroom blocks for various schools

The District Chief Executive for Builsa South, Daniel Kwame Gariba has cut the sod for the construction of a 3-unit classroom block in five deprived communities in the area.

Among the beneficiary communities include; Kasiesi- Yipaala, Fumbisi- Bacheesa, Kanjarga-Samsa, Bachongsa- Nyanbisa, and Uwasi- Tuperinsa.

The projects are being constructed through the Northern Development Authority (NDA) under the One Million Dollar Per Constituency Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Project ( IPEP) to ameliorate the difficulties of the people in accessing education.

Addressing the people during the programme, the DCE said the classroom facilities are hoped to encourage the children to develop an interest in education, thus increasing enrollment in the district.

He also disclosed that the assembly is procuring 500 pieces of furniture to augment the furniture deficits in the area.

The Gariba reiterated the President’s commitment to improve the educational sector in the country and urge the people to take the government's intervention in education seriously to better themselves.
