The buffet is the benevolent gift of Mr Daniel Kwame Gariba, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.
He promised the lunch for the candidates when he toured the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Centres in the district to interact and wish them well as they took their final examination.
The DCE assured the candidates that government was committed to ensuring that education at the Senior High level was absolutely free and charged the candidates to write the exams with the needed confidence to pass well and get admission into their preferred senior
high schools.
He admonished the candidates to eschew examination malpractices and work hard to attain good results.
The DCE warned that the law would deal with any candidate who is found engaging in exams mal- practices and said the punishment could include; cancellation of examination papers, adding that such punitive actions had the tendency to curtail one's academic dreams.
Mr Gariba who visited the two centres including; the Kanjarga and Fumbisi Senior High Schools, was accompanied by Mr Cosmos Yelduor, the District Director of Education.
The Builsa South District presented 680 candidates from 22 basic schools to sit for this year's BECE examination.
Whist wishing the BECE candidates the best of luck, he expressed the optimism that the pupils would record impressive performance to make the district proud.
The District Director of Education underscored the need for the candidates to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the exercise to ensure incidence free examination.
